Christine Comyn

Christine Comyn's art work unites the somewhat hard character of acrylics and the more lively and light one of watercolour. Each technique could also act autonomously, but without achieving the power and compactness of the global effect that is so typical for Christine Comyn’s paintings.

Virgílio Raposo

Full of character, his works reveal themselves through a surprisingly good interpretation of colour. This is further underlined when one considers his favourite theme: the Algarve coastline. With such a bright intensity of light, this is particulary difficult to transfer onto canvas.

Luísa Aleixo

Her themes reflect a particular interpretation of architecture, including blocks of colour and well defined lines, charming and clean, reminding us of our cultural inheritance that we ought to preserve at all cost.

Basia Kaczmarowska-Hamilton

Born in Sopot, Poland and awarded the Order of merit by the President of Poland, she is a specialist in pastel portraits.

Wim Ricourt

"Life is love, hate, passion and colour. This gives me the power to paint. Subjects have become simpler by deleting details and purifying a form. Nervously I walk about in my atelier, looking at my thick strokes, with which I paint a piece of landscape. My hand can no longer follow my thoughts. The music is playing loud. I enjoy it very much. Enjoying sunset, listening to the sparrows, drinking a glass with friends. That gives me the goosebumps."

José Projecto

Painting wonderful scenes of our fauna in which he succeeds, through the realism of his work, to celebrate the splendour of nature. In the year 2000, he designed a themed set of postage stamps for the Portugal Post Office featuring 'Birds of Portugal'.

Richard Neubersch

Digital Photography at its best, producing superb images most of which are evocative of the Algarve and perfect to add colour and interest to any room.

Tonny Skammelsen Schmidt

"I am certain that abstract paintings can carry a secret or certain wisdom of realities invisible to the human eye... depths that can not be revealed by mathematical equations".

Claudio Souza Pinto

"I am certain that abstract paintings can carry a secret or certain wisdom of realities invisible to the human eye... depths that can not be revealed by mathematical equations".

José Garca Chibbaro

His fundamental choice is perhaps a constant search through the art of something superior. For this reason he is, perhaps, an unclassifiable artist that represents a completely isolated case within the local milieu. He in effect, is unique.

Valérie Londot

Influenced by the Celtic Love cross and the book of Kells in Trinity College Library Dublin. "Love needs dreams, wonder, exploration, and imagination. By the love of a man and a woman a thread is woven that will reach to the very heart of the universe."

Schussi Rey

Yes...I want to see you in your glory
Because you create me
Little by little...you create me
And be aware that by creating...I will create more of you!

Art for art's sake...

Valérie Londot represents some of the Algarve's most venerable artists and coordinates high profile cultural and social events hosted by selected luxury hotels and resorts throughout the region.
